Hello, I am Rob Gatlinberg.

If you are anything like me, you have long dreamed of making money on the internet, of checking your email and discovering that while you were sleeping the money was pouring into your bank account like a fountain of wealth from Aladdin’s magic lamp…

Good news! It IS possible to earn a comfortable living off the web, and for some, even get rich – subject to your idea of “rich”, of course!

The bad news?

Sorry, but there is no “magic formula” to getting filthy rich overnight…to succeed in this new world of economic opportunities, it will still require the same dedication and hard work as in the “real” world.

However, the methods are, perhaps, easier to learn, it is possible to get started with minimal, or even NO investment out-of-pocket, and the end results are more under your direct control than you might find in your daily grind.

In fact, the reward for your effort is more directly dependent upon you than in any other arena, because you are, in fact, your own Boss!

YOU decide how much effort to put out, and this will DIRECTLY affect whatever return you get back.

While it may sound scary, do not let it defeat you! After all, nothing worth having comes without some effort, and even the lottery winners had to start by at least investing in a ticket, so once you accept that, you are on your way; the rest is just details.

Best of all, your own internet marketing discoveries will include a lot of useful information,  folks willing to help you at every step, and all you have to do is ask…and the best way to do that, seriously, is to start by asking yourself just what it is you want to do – besides get filthy rich with as little effort as possible, of course!

My goal is to help to take the mystery out of making money on the internet by creating a business online, and help you to understand how it is done.

I have been studying this whole online marketing jazz since about 2005, and along the way I have learned, just as you have, there are no shortcuts, there is no ‘magic bullet’, and there are an awful lot of sales-people out there who will sell you just about anything if you are willing to buy it!

There is one phrase that you will hear over and over and over again, however, and it is the foundation upon which almost every successful internet entrepreneur has built his or her business: “the money is in the List!”

It is in building your mailing list that you will find the greatest success, and this will be the subject of my next post, as well as some definitions you will need to become familiar with, including  “List building”,  “Keywords”,  “Traffic”, and a few other terms and phrases you have likely seen or heard as you have tried to get a handle on creating an online income.
